Camden, March 19 - The community was saddened to learn of the death of Rev. James J Workman of Camden, who died last night after a brief illness of pneumonia. Mr. Workman was born in Camden in 1841 and entered the Citadel when quite young. he graduated there in 1860 and immediately entered the ministry and preached at a number of South Carolina churches.
He was superannuated in 1900. He is survived by his wife, who was Miss Mary Sullivan of Greenville, and his daughters, Mrs. W.E. deLoache of Camden and the Rev. J.M. Workman of Little Rock, Ark. He was buried here this afternoon at 4 o'clock.
