After George died, his lands were sold by his son Joseph to Jesse Elbert Sanders and Thomas N. Allison in 1870 for for 4675 dollars.
Much of the personal property was sold at an estate sale. The family Bible was sold for .10 to his daughter Deborah Sanders Dolberry.
His exact birth date is unknown but was almost certainly 1783 or 1784. The March 1866 petition lists his age as 83.
