Della moved to Coeur d'Alene from Glasgow with her family when she was 8 years old.
Della married Clarence Wilbur in 1934 in Coeur d'Alene. After their marriage, they moved to the Silver Valley. During WWII, Della and Clarence moved to Portland, Ore., where she served as a welder in ship yards. After the war, they moved back to the Silver Valley.
Della was a homemaker and loved and enjoyed her family, baking, canning, sewing,picking huckleberries, working in the yard and flower gardening. Della is survived by seven children including Donna and Dennis Longfellow of Lostine, Ore., Carl Ron and Pat Wilbur of Cataldo, Robert Wilbur of Harrison, Kenneth and Judy Wilbur of Otis Orchards, Wash., Russell Wilbur of Harrison, James Wilbur of Big Timber, Mont., and Frank and Ann Wilbur of Bear Creek; 17
grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Clarence in 2002; three sisters, Violet, Mary and Marcina and one brother, Russell.
Cremation was held and memorial services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, Dec. 3, 2010, at the Kellogg Funeral Chapel in Kellogg with Rev. Robert Evans officiating.
