Leonard a Corbin, 89, of Edina, formerly of Baring died Sunday, April 20, 1980 at 1:30 p.m. in LaBelle Manor.
Funeral services were Tuesday at 1:30 p.m. at Hudson-Rimer Funeral Chapel Edina with Rev Archie Cooper of Kirksville officiating. Burial was in the IOOF Cemetery at Hurdland. Pallbearers were members of the Greensburg Lodge.
He was born Jan 4 1891 in Knox County, the son of Joseph C and Anna (Boulware) Corbin. On Dec 25 1915 he was married to Mattie Edwards at St. Louis and she died Aug 2 1975.
Surviving are a son, Leslie L "Whiz" Corbin of Edina; a daughter Mrs. LeRoy (Lauranna) Bruns of Pleasant Hill, Mo; two grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a grandson, two brothers, Gene and Virgil and a sister Joanna Bond,
Before he retired he had been agent for Santa Fe Railroad at Baring for over 50 years. He had lived most of his life in Baring with the exception of a few years at Kirksville. For the past 15 years he had resided in Edina.
He was a member of Baring Community Church and Greensburg Lodge No 414 A.F. & A.M. Greensburg Chapter No 258 and Order of the Eastern Star.
