Funeral services for Mrs. Ella Galloway, 78, of Rt. 1, Montalba, were held today at 2 p.m. in the Montalba Baptist Church. Rev. Archie A. Lyle and Rev. Theo Johnson officiated, and burial was in the Holly Springs Cemetery.
Pallbearers were John Douglass, Roger Douglass, Alphus Taylor, Alvin Taylor, Reagan Hathcock, and Tommie Jackson.
Mrs. Galloway died following a short illness at 11:25 p.m. Sunday in a local hospital. Native of Texas, she was born August 21, 1882. She was the widow of the late C. M. Galloway, who died August 4, 1958.
Survivors are two sons, Walter H. Galloway and Erwin M. Galloway, both of Montalba; one daughter, Mrs. Gladys Woolverton of Palestine; nine grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
