SHARPSVILLE - Alva Garfield
Heath, farmer in the Nevada community
most of his life, died Sunday
morning at Wabash Valley
sanatorium in Lafayette where he
had been a patient 26 days. Heath
was 76.
Last rites are to be conducted
at 2 p. m. Tuesday at Warner
Funeral home, with Rev. Chester
Mitchell, of Windfall, officiating.
Burial is to follow in Sharpsville
cemetery. The body is lying in
state at the Funeral home.
A native of Jefferson county,
Heath was born there Aug. 19, 1877
to Allen and Catherine (Andres)
Heath. He attended schools in his
native county before coming to
this community.
Residing north of Nevada, Heath
for several years operated a steam
threshing machine and served farmers
in his area at harvest time.
Mr. Heath, who never married, is
survived by one sister, Mrs. Nellie
Pratt, of Tipton; one brother, Rolland
Heath, of Kokomo, and nieces and nephews.
