He was born May 8, 1896 in New Cumberland, Pa to John and Bertha (Kraft) Platt. His wife, the former Thelma Seislove, is a patient in Riverfront Manor Nursing Home. Also surviving are a brother, Walter F Platt of 85 E Davis St and a half sister, Beatrice Bortner of Baltimore. One brother and two sisters are deceased.Mr Platt was a retired mason's tender. He served in the famed Rainbow Division during World War I
The body is in the Turner-Engle Funeral Home, where services will be conducted at 10 am Wednesday. Burial will be in Fairmont Cemtery. Visitation at the funearal home will be after 7 pm Tuesday
