Mrs.. FANNIE HODGES DIES AT HOME HERE SUNDAY

Mrs. Fannie Hodges, 78, died at her home at 1106 south Lincoln Street Sunday afternoon at 1:30 after an acute illness of two weeks. Mrs. Hodges had been in ill health with lung trouble for several years.

She is survived by one daughter, Mrs. Ralph Koontz, south Lincoln, one grandson, Noble Koontz, of the Coca-Cola Bottling Works, and three great grandchildren, Robert, Howard and Donald Koontz.

Mrs. Hodges had lived all of her life in Monroe County. She was a member of the Union Baptist Church near Buena Vista. Her husband preceded her in death sixteen year ago. She is the last of a family of six children.

Funeral services will beheld Tuesday afternoon at 1:30 at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Ralph Koontz at the corner of Lincoln and Grimes, with Elder A. W. Harvey, assisted by Rev. W. J. Whaley, officiating. Interment will be in the Graves cemetery in Lawrence County, near Popcorn.

The body was taken from the Wier Funeral Home and will lie in state at the Koontz home until the hour of the funeral.



Fanny Graves Hodges (b. Apr 19, 1857). She is Andrew Graves's sister and she married William F. Hodges May 16, 1875. She lived in Monroe County until her death April 14, 1935. She was a member of the Union Baptist Church near Buena Vista. William died October 9, 1918 and she moved to Bloomington to live. They had a one daughter Summie (b. Jun 3, 1883). She was the one to sell her farm to Daddy
