Joyce as she was known was born August 6, 1937 in Caledonia, MS to the late James and Janettie Lou Keenum. She met and married her true love on November 23, 1955. She loved science fiction movies and soap operas especially "Days of our Lives". She was a prankster and if you were around you would at some point be on the receiving end of her jokes. Joyce was a furious defender of her children and family, like a momma bear she ran to their aide when the need arose. Her favorite season was Christmas and we feel sure she will be celebrating the Christmas of a lifetime this year. She will be missed greatly by her family and friends.
In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by a son, Anthony James Killingsworth and a brother, James Keenum.
She is survived by her husband of 55 years, Joe Paul "Sonny" Killingsworth Sr. of Pascagoula, MS; three sons, Joey Killingsworth (Gail) of Latimer, MS, Gerry "Bubba" Killingsworth (Christi) of Pascagoula, MS, and Phil Killingsworth (Victoria) of Hurley, MS; two daughters, Lisa Killingsworth of Atmore, AL and Stacey KillingsworthTurner (Trent) of Wade, MS; two brothers, Charles Keenum (Linda) of Ocean Springs, MS and Donald Keenum (Phyllis) of Gautier, MS; three sisters, Billy Faye Mills of Lucedale, MS, Pat Broadus of Wade, MS and Linda Gasaway (David) of Escatawpa, MS; 13 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.
