Earl Timmons, 65, Remington, Dies Tuesday
Earl Timmons, 65, died at his home in Remington at 7:30 a.m. Tuesday after an illness of eight years.
Born in Jasper ocunty, he was married May 28, 1926 to Marie McCullough in Rensselaer. He was a member of the Medaryville Christian church.
Surviving with the widow are two daughters, Mrs. Verna Bray of Attica and Mrs. Vera Amstutz of West Point; two sons, Don E. of Wausaus, Wis., and Melvin C. Timmons, a West Lafayette policeman; two sisters, Mrs. Ruth Faulkner of Waynetown and Mrs. Opal Bailey of Francesville, and two brothers, Wayne of Rensselaer and Orville of Wheatfield.
Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Thursday at the Rushton Smith funeral home, Remington, with Rev. David Barnett officiatng. Burial was in Remington Cemetery.
Seven grandchildren also survive.
