Dorothy Esther Burns, a resident of Norman, OK was born January 22, 1917 in Chicago, Illinois to Amanda Marie (Carlson) and Karl Emil Westberg. She passed away December 11, 2010 at Norman, Oklahoma at the age of 93 years 10 months and 19 days.

She was married to Frank Brent Burns at Chicago, IL on November 3, 1944. She was a Homemaker. She lived in Chicago, IL from 1917 to 1948, then spent a year from 1948 to 1949 in St. Paul, MN, when she moved to Wynnewood, OK and lived in Wynnewood from 1949 to 2007, at that time she moved to Norman and spent the last three years in Norman, OK.

She was preceded in death by her Husband - Frank Brent Burns on January 15, 1988; an infant daughter; 4 Brothers - Lawrence, Viv, Oliver, and Vernon Westberg; 4 Sisters - Lucile Norlin, Emily Fouts, Ruth Vallandingham, and Grace Nameny; Grandson - Gregory F. Taylor.

Survived by her 4 Daughters and Spouses - Susan and Richard Nostrand of Norman, OK; Linda and Chuck Angie of Norman, OK; Nancy and Doug Bovee of Salem, OR; Lois Clubb of Norman, OK; Dorothy Ann and Jerry Hominick of Fredricksburg, TX; 2 Sons and Spouse - Brent Burns - Rancho Palos Verdes, CA; Karl and Linda Burns of Tulsa, OK; 14 Grandchildren - Christopher Angie, Amanda Angie, Kirsten (Jake) Bovee, Katherine Bovee, Brian (Stacey) Clubb, Kelli (Roy) Caldwell, Jennifer Husted, Aaron (Afton) Hominick, Rachel Hominick, Tyler Hominick, Sara Burns, Blake Burns, Eric Burns, and Laura Burns; 7 Great Grandchildren - Susan Taylor, Madeline Blaufuss, Jessi Caldwell, John Caldwell, Mallory Clubb, & Matthew Clubb.

Pallbearers will be Christopher Angie, Brian Clubb, Aaron Hominick, Tyler Hominick, and Blake Burns.

Services will be held Wednesday December 15, 2010 at 11:00 am at DeArman Funeral Chapel officiated by Rev. Danny Daniels. Burial will follow at Oaklawn Cemetery under the direction of DeArman Funeral Home of Wynnewood, OK.
