Mrs. Alice Leona DeVinney passed away at 4:30 o'clock yeasterday morning, Oct. 15, 1941 at the home of her son, Julian E. DeVinney age 75 yrs., 8 months and 18 days. Funeral services will be concluded at the at the Knobliek Methodist church at 10:00 Saturday morning by Rev. A.C. Johnson and at Marquand Methodist church at 2:00 O'clock Saturday afternoon by Rev. A.M. Cook. Burial will be at Mouser Cemetery near Marquand with near Neidert Service.

The deceased was born at Marquand on Jan. 25, 1867, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Wm. Vierse. She was uited in marriage in 1882 to Julian M. DeVinney, who proceeded her in death in 1922.

She is survived by son mentioned above; one daughter, Mrs. E.A. Nelson, of Kansas City, and two brothers, J. F. Vierse, of Marquand and H.Y. Vierse, of Girardeau.
