L. D. Carey, Monticello attorney and well known in Delphi, died Tuesday night in St. Joseph’s Hospital, Logansport, after an illness with heart trouble. His wife was Miss Bess Wilson of Delphi, who served as Carroll county court stenographer for a number of years. Mrs. Carey and a five year old son, Joe, survive. Mr. Carey lived in Delphi for a time, and has practiced in the local courts. He and his family have recently moved into their new home in Monticello. He was stricken suddenly, and a cerebral hemorrhage was the immediate cause of his death.
