Services will be 1:30 p.m. Friday in Ingram Funeral Home in West Salem, with the Rev. Brian Kent officiating. Burial will be in Moravian Cemetery, with military rites at gravesite. Visitation is 6-8 tonight (Thursday).
Mr. Dobbs was born March 15, 1935, in Sikeston, Mo., the son of Chester Dobbs and Mabel Stinnet. He married Sally Clodfelter on June 29, 1974, in Oakville, Mo. She survives.
He was a long time member of the United States Army, retiring Nov. 2, 1971.
He was also a member of the West Salem Ruritan Club.
Survivors include his wife, Sally, of West Salem; three sons, Graig Dobbs of Dupo, Chris Crabtree of St. Louis, Mo., and Ian Crabtree of Cape Canaveral, Fla.; four daughters, April Dobbs of St. Louis, Mo., Kelly Dobbs of Atlanta, Ga., and Julia Orrel and Lori Crabtree of West Salem; five brothers, Roy Dobbs of San Carlos, Calif., Jack Dobbs of Imperial, Mo., Jerry Dobbs of St. Louis, Mo., Howard Dobbs of St. Peter, Mo., and Wayne Dobbs of Ft. Stewart, Ga.; two sisters, Joy Wesley of Cottage Hills and his twin sister, Belle Crane of St. Louis, Mo.; his mother, Mabel LeGrand of Arnold, Mo.; his stepmother, Minnie Dobbs of Hermann, Mo.; and one grandchild.
He was preceded in death by his father.
