Mr. Miller was born on June 28, 1930 in Front Royal, VA, a son of the late Harry E. Miller, Sr. and Esther Martin Miller. He worked for the Winchester Police Department, A&P Supermarket, Rich Foods and Gaunt's Drug Store all in Winchester, VA. He was a veteran in the United States Army during the Korean Conflict. He was a member of the Shockeysville United Methodist Church in Shockeysville, VA and the American Legion Post # 21 in Winchester, VA. He was an animal lover and an avid West Virginia Mountaineers and Washington Redskins fan.
Mr. Miller married Maxine Luttrell Miller on May 1, 1952 in Winchester, VA. Mrs. Miller died on November 9, 2000.
Surviving is one son: Harry E. Miller, III of Winchester, VA; two daughters: Kathy Braithwaite and her husband Russell of Capon Bridge, WV; Marita Burrows and her husband Tim of Capon Bridge, WV; six grandchildren: Gwinn McBride-Braithwaite, Jason Fraley, Aaron Miller, Chuck Braithwaite, Timothy Miller and Caddie Burrows; three great-grandchildren.
A graveside service will be held at the Shockeysville Cemetery on Wednesday, December 15, 2010 at 1:00 PM. Officiating will be Rev. Isaac Luttrell.
Family will receive friends at the Giffin Funeral Home in Capon Bridge, WV on Tuesday, December 14, 2010 from 6-8 PM.
Memorial contributions my be made to the Adult Care Center of Shenandoah Valley, 115 Wolfe Street, Winchester, VA 22601 or Hospice of the Panhandle, 122 Waverly Court, Martinsburg, WV 25403.
