Henry Steven Tart, 75, Beatrice died Saturday, December 11, 2010 at the Beatrice Manor. He was born May 11, 1935 at Beatrice, NE. He attended school in Beatrice he was a gymnast and place 3rd at state in the High Bars. He served his country in the Navy from 1952 to 1956 serving during the Korean War. He married Linda Crumb in 1960. He worked as a plumber and was a sheet metal worker for Best Plumbing in Beatrice. He was a member of the Bitting-Norman Post 27 of the American Legion and Geddes-Thober Post 1077 of the VFW where he was a past commander. He enjoyed nature and the Big Blue River and spent many days at the old dam by Beatrice.

Survivors include his son, Steve Tart of Beatrice; daughters, Laurie Nider and husband Barry of Onaga, KS, Michelle Lottman and husband Dean of Beatrice; 10 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren; sister, Joann Winslow of Beatrice; nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his father, Henry Tart Sr.; mother, Lynette Thomas and husband William "Tommy"; sister, Jeanie Obering.

Graveside services will be held 10:30 a.m., Tuesday, December 14, 2010 at Evergreen Home Cemetery, Beatrice. The Body will lie in state at the Harman-Wright Mortuary from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. on Monday, December 13, 2010. A memorial is established to the family's choice with the mortuary in charge.
