Born April 25, 1020 in St. Thomas, Nevada, to Harry S. and Viola McCallister Gentry. Married Maxine Carter, April 25, 1947, in the St. George LDS Temple. Active member LDS Church serving a mission in California 1940 to 1942; District President in Fresno, served as a Stake Missionary twice in St. George, Lamanite mission in Vernal. High Priest, Temple Worker, serving in the Sunday School Presidency in the Butler 15th Ward at the time of his death.
Survivors; Wife, two daughters, Mrs. Kent (Jolene Rex, Chino, Calif.; Mrs. Harold (Janis) Goates, Salt Lake City; five grandchildren; sisters, LaBerta Keith, Downey, Calif.; Mary Ellen Sadler, Draper; four brothers, Dwayne, Eldon, Ellis, Raymond, St. George, Utah.
Interment Salt Lake City Cemetery.
