Richard was born October 10, 1929 in Cheboygan County to the late Arlington Bunker (known as Arlie Bunker) and Esther (Reeves) Bunker. He served in the US Army from 1954 to 1956. Richard married Dianna Battles on July 17, 1974 in Marquette, MI. He was a resident of Afton, MI the past 19 years coming from Flint and Birch Run. Mr. Bunker was a plumber for Local #370. He enjoyed hunting and fishing.
Surviving Richard Bunker were his wife, Dianna Bunker; 8 children, Roselynne Bunker of Corunna, Richard (Kim) Bunker of Birch Run, Randolph (Suki) Bunker of VA, Robert (Marlene) Bunker of Vassar, Ralph (Shelley) Battles of Afton, Leonard Battles of Detroit, Robert Battles of Shiawassee, Karrie (Martin) Damm of Saginaw; 20 grandchildren; 8 great-grandchildren; 3 sisters and a brother, Opal Athey of Indian River, Wilma Adams of CA, Robert Bunker of NJ, Phyllis Parris of TX; many nieces, nephews and dear friends.
A sister, Fran Beaudry, also preceded him in death.
