Mrs. Mararet (Throop) Ellis, 77, of South Bend passed away at 7:20 a.m. Tuesday, June 10 at her residence after a hard battle with cancer. Margaret was born on March 6,1920, to Fred and Hallie (Simons) Throop of Ray, Indiana.
On Dec. 23, 1949, Margaret Throop married John J. Ellis of South Bend Ind. John was the son of Geza and Mary Czegledy Ellis of South Bend. Surviving are her husband John Ellis, two daughters, Mrs. Peggy (Michael) Kring, of Mishawaka, Ind. and Kathy (Thomas) Stienen of Little Rock, Ark.: Margaret was blested with Six grandchildren: and nine great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a son, John Ellis Jr., who died on Aug. 14,1962.
