He was born in Pocatello, Idaho Mar 24, 1935. He lived there until he went in the Navy in March of 1952 and was stationed at several bases one the west coast but the biggest share of the time was in Long Beach, California. He and Nona Ann Wilson married on the 12th of March 1954 and lived in Long Beach until he was discharged in March of 1956. He and Nona moved to Pocatello where he worked at the railroad. They moved to Virginia, ID in the spring of 1959 where he continued to work at the railroad in Pocatello and also farmed in Virginia. He was struck by lightning in April of 1963 and became disabled in 1968. His health continued to worsen over the years. They moved to Twin Falls in 1979. He passed away May 13, l986. Russ is buried in the Twin Falls cemetery in Twin Falls, ID in Block 66, Lot 12, grave 2.
