Jeanette A. Rook was born in Covington, TN. on April 1, 1934. She passed away on Feburary 13, 2002 at 66 years old. Jeanette was best known for her love and care of children you could always find hers, and everybody elses at her house.She was a loving and compassionate mother and was the best at giving advise and encouragement to any and all who was fortunate enough to know her. She was married to Chester aka Toady for 53 years. Married at 15 she grew up with him and all her kids. It was a special bond between mother and children here. Jeanette lived her life on her terms and enjoyed the love, admiration and respect of all her children who reveard her. Her stearn voice and soft heart will be memorialized in the hearts of all who knew her. RIP Dearest Mother for you will never be forgotten.
JEANETTE A. ROOK, 67, of Memphis, homemaker, died Wednesday at Baptist Memorial Hospital-Memphis. Services will be at noon Saturday at Bartlett Funeral Home Bartlett Station with burial in Elmwood. Mrs. Rook, the wife of Chester G. Rook for 52 years, also leaves four daughters, Cathy Sisk of Eads, Susan Trainor of Bentonville, Ark., Kathryn Rook of Memphis and Lillian Evans of Jacksonville, Fla.; five sons, William Rook, Ronnie Rook and William Rook Jr., all of Memphis, Toby Rook of Munford, Tenn., and William Mayner of Glasgow, Ky.; two sisters, Billie M. Wingo of Austin and Wanda F. Storm of Springdale, Ark.; two brothers, Robert D. Abernathy and Danny W. Abernathy, both of Memphis, 10 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
