Harriet Kennerly Radford Clark was one of the children born to Samuel Kennerly and his wife, Mary Talbot Hancock.
Harriet was united in marriage twice during her lifetime: first, on December 23, 1806, in Botetourt, Virginia, to Dr. John Radford. Harriet and John were married on December 23, 1806, in Fincastle. They resided in Fincastle until the spring of 1808, when they moved to a thousand-acre farm in Lewis County, KY, on the Ohio River between Vanceburg and Concord. They were blessed with the birth of three children during their marriage:

Harriet was left a widow on April 15, 1817. While hunting for food, John shot a boar but was gored as he began to dress the animal. ("A Closer Look at the Two Mrs. Clarks," The Smithfield Review, Vol. 27, 2023, pp. 79-96).
And second, on November 28, 1821 in St. Louis, Missouri to General William Clark, whose first wife, Julia Judith Hancock, was Harriet's cousin. Harriet became step-mother to her cousins five young children upon marrying William. Harriet and William were blessed with the birth of at least three children during their marriage:

Edmund Clark
Harriet passed away on Christmas Day 1831 at the age of 43, seven years before her husband William. They are interred together, with numerous family members in the Clark Family Burial Lot.
