Born January 14, 1922, in St. Charles, she passed away Saturday, March 29, 1997, at Central DuPage Hospital in Winfield. Burial will be private.
She resided all of her life in West Chicago, where she was a real estate agent for more than 20 years. She was a season ticket-taker for the Kane County Cougars, a member of Neighbor Watch program and National Night Out, and a member of Senior Citizens Council for the West Chicago Park District. Mrs. Rooney also exhibited her art at the Fine Art Festival.
She is survived by her daughter, Linda Dall of West Chicago; her son, William (Marcia) Hamlin of Kirbyville, Mo.; her granddaughters, Vicki (Tom) Serrto, Ginger (Dave) Farley, Suzanne (Randy) Hendrickson, and Tina Hamlin; her six great-grandchildren; and her sister, Marilyn (Hank) Rathe of Forsyth, Mo.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Harrison and Bertha (Haywood) Kein [sic, recte Alexander].
Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
