STAESBORO, Ga.- Mrs. Carleen Beasley Marsh Hendrix, age 74, died Saturday at her residence under the care of Ogeechee Area Hospice. The native and life long resident of Bulloch County was a homemaker. She was a member of the American Legion Post 90 Ladies Auxiliary , the AARP and the Clito Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her first husband of 34 years, Burney Marsh and her parents; Carl and Lessie Beasley. Surviving are her husband of 21 years, Preston Hendrix of Statesboro; two daughters and a son-in- law, Wynelle Murray of Metter and Lynn and Tom Hendrix of Statesboro; a son, Burney Carl Marsh and John W. Tucker of Gainesville, Florida; a sister, and brother in law, Brenda and Melvin Swindell of Warrenville, S.C.; six grandchildren, Greg Hendrix, Kim Carr, Kevin Hendrix, Karen Hilde, Cole Hendrix and Kyle Murray; two nieces, Traci Haggard and Paula Holly; a nephew, Keith Swindell; three step-children, Brenda Hartsfield of Savannah, Debbie B owers of Springfield and Rodney Hendrix of Pembroke; 10 great grandchildren, four step grandchildren and six step great grandchildren also survive. Funeral services will be held Monday at 2 p.m. in the chapel of Joiner-Anderson Funeral Home with Rev. Joe Hulsey officiating, assisted by Rev. Carl Ledbetter. Burial will be in the Friendship Baptist Church Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Greg Hendrix, Kevin Hendrix, Cole Hendrix, Kyle Murray, Keith Swindell and Allen David Beasley. Honorary Pallbearers will be Deacons and wives of the Clito Baptist Church, C.B. and Margie Brannen and James and Betty Moncus. Visitation will be Sunday from 4 p.m. until 6 p.m. at Joiner-Anderson Funeral Home. Memorial contributions may be made to Ogeechee Area Hospice, P.O. Box 531, Statesboro, Ga. 30459, whose devoted staff provided Mrs. Hendrix with wonderful care and her family with great comfort; or the Clito Baptist Church Building Fund, 1450 Statesboro, Ga. 30459.
