Aaron P Bettis, a well known resident of this city, answered death's summons at his home, 90 Washington Street, at 6:45 last evening, after a illness of five days duration. Mr. Bettis was born in Rome 65 years ago and received his education in the schools of that place. When 21 yeras of age, he removed to the town of Frankfort, coming to Uitca 18 years ago, where he had since resided. By occupation he was a teamster. He was a member of the Universalist church. In 1864, Mr. Bettis was joined in matrimony to Miss D.E. French of Frankfort, who survives with one son, Olney D., of this city. He also leaves one brother, Robert of Oregon, and a sister, Mrs. Jane Daniels, of Phoenix, this state. Mr. Bettis was a man who had many friends throughout the city, who will learn of his death with sorrow.
