James Barnes Jr., son of James Barnes and Margaret Forster of Virginia, married Sarah "Sally" Callaway, daughter of Flanders Isham Callaway and Jemima Boone, granddaughter of Daniel Boone and Rebecca Ann Bryan, ca 1800. They had a total of 22 children,16 of whom lived to be full grown: James, John, Larkin, William, Callaway F., Flanders C., Lilborn, Volney, Andrew, Rhoda, Jemima, Minerva, Margaret, Hulda, Cynthia, and Elizabeth.
James and Sally are specifically mentioned in Flanders Callaway's will as receiving 100 arpents of land they already occupied.Deserted
