Daughter of Jacob King, 1784-1824, and Martha McElhatten, 1792-1860.

Mrs. Nancy King Cyphert died early Thursday morning, March 14, 1912, at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Emma E. Donahue, corner of Eighth Avenue and Main Street, Clarion, at the advanced age of 94 years. Death was due to general debility due to old age. Mrs. Cyphert was born at Kingsville, June 2, 1817, and there she spent nearly her entire life. She was married June 13, 1839, to James Cyphert who died July 12, 1866. To this union were born eight children, Jennie, now Mrs. Jones, of Reynoldsville, who was with her sister as caretaker at the time of her mother's death; Martha M., now Mrs. Beer, living in Los Angeles, Cal.; Mary P., deceased; Albert A., of Dallas, Wyo.; John K., deceased; William H., of Shelton City, Wash.; Emma E., Mrs. Donahue, of Clarion; and Sarah A., Mrs. Moore, residing near Turner, Ore. Early in life Mrs. Cyphert united with the Greenville Baptist church of Limestone, and has been through all these years in the fellowship of that church. Her funeral will be held Saturday afternoon and interment will take place in Cottage Hill cemetery.
