Martin was my Great-Granduncle.

He was the oldest of two children born to Isom W. WELCH (1826-1904) and Nancy R. CRENSHAW Brashears (1841-abt 1870).

He was married twice. His first wife was Josephine McCRACKEN (1873-1918) who he married on 15 Dec 1890 in Collinsville, Grayson Co., TX.

Their children together were:

Onie W. Welch (1891-1987)
Viola Welch Groves (1893-1978)
Elmer D. Welch (1895-1971)
James Isom Welch (1899-1978)
Essie Belle Welch Duncan (1903-1992)
Roy Lee Welch (1908-1992)

After Josephine's death he was married to Myrtle CURE (1891-1974) on March 31st, 1922 in Abilene, TX.

Their children together were:

Daisy Nell Welch (1923-1932)
Willo Mae Welch Webb Thompson Bates (1927)

Martin and his brother Jacob Welch married sisters, Josephine and Bethenia McCracken.

Cause of death: Cancer.
