Mr. Vance was born June 28, 1892 in Humphreys, Mo. He was a member of the Goodman Baptist church and a veteran of World War I.
Survivors include his widow, Mrs. Melba Vance; two daughters, Mrs. Evalena Bass, Ontario, Ca., and Vera Vance, Rome, Ga,; a stepdaughter and a stepson; a sister, Mrs. Daisy Mullens, Baxter Springs; a brother, Samuel Vance, Galena, Kan.; three grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
