"Arlynn Flake Baird 1916 - 2004
Arlynn Flake Baird, 87, a six-month resident of St. David, died Jan. 12, 2004. He previously lived in Sunsites.
He was born May 1, 1916, in Snowflake, Ariz., to Joseph Francis and Agnes Love Flake Baird. He worked as an equipment operator in construction and irrigation and was self-employed.
Arlynn served in the U.S. Navy during World War II. He was a member of the LDS Church.
Services were held Thursday, Jan. 15, at 3 p.m., at Richardson's Remembrance Chapel in Benson.
A private cremation was held.
Survivors include two daughters, Agnes Rose Baird of St. David, and Linda Ann Johnson of Auxvasse, Mo.; one brother, Joe (Nadine) Baird of Snowflake; one sister, Violet Hillyer of Truth or Consequences, N.M.; also four grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.
Arrangements were under the direction of Richardson's Remembrance Center in Benson."
