Dorothy Whitten, 89 of Delight, Arkansas passed away on May 24, 2018, in Murfreesboro, Arkansas. She was born on May 2, 1929 in Delight, Arkansas to the late Dudley Lee and Lalah Ross Lee.

Mrs. Dorothy Whitten was preceded in death by one son, Paul Douglas Whitten,(survived by wife Gloria Whitten), two brothers James Edward Lee and Dudley Glen Lee.

Survivors include her husband of seventy years, Clifford Whitten of Murfreesboro, AR; two sons, Eugene Whitten and wife Sharon of Delight, AR; David Walter Whitten and wife Diane of Milton, FL; two daughters, Mary Whitten Lippencott and husband John of Gladewater, TX; and Delores Whitten Hill and husband Ralph of Longview, TX; three brothers, Robert Lee of Lubbock, TX; Joe Lee of Beirne ,IN; and Don Lee of Arkadelphia, AR; five sisters, Ruth Lee Smith of Caddo Valley, AR; Gertrude Lee Echols of Arkadelphia, AR; Gladys Lee Pennington of Geneva, IN; Lou Lee Ivy of Donaldson, AR; and Ann Lee Loftin of De Queen, AR; seven grandchildren, twenty great-grandchildren, as well as a number of nieces, nephews, and friends.

Graveside services will be 2:00 P.M., Sunday, May 27, at Bowen Cemetery with Bro. Curtis Abernathy officiating, under the direction of Latimer Funeral Home.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Bowen Cemetery Fund.
