Services for Lee D. Blakemore, 73, Walnut Grove route 1, near Dadeville, who died at 10:30 p.m. Friday at Cox Medical Center, Springfield, where he had been a patient the last three weeks, will be at 2. p.m. Monday at the Christian Church in Dadeville. The Rev. Jerry White will officiate. Burial will be in Dadeville Masonic Cemetery under direction of Canada Funeral Home, Greenfield.
Mr. Blakemore was born Aug. 19, 1902, in Dade County. He was a retired farmer and a lifetime area resident. Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Marion Blakemore; a son, Daniel M. Blakemore, Galena; three daughters, Mrs. Mary Frances Melton, Dadeville, Mrs. Georgia Lea Dodson and Mrs. Virginia Ruth Stiles, both of Walnut Grove; a brother, George A. Blakemore, Walnut Grove; a sister, Mrs. Mary Quarles, Walnut Grove; 18 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren.
