Clifton Merwin Fry, 84, passed away December 6, 2010 at Sulphur, OK VA Care Center. Clifton was born in Willow Township, Richland County, Wisconsin, on February 4, 1926 to Clayton and Alice Fry.
February 27, 1951 Clifton joined the US army. He was honorably discharged February 23, 1953. He served in Louisiana, Oklahoma, and Texas with the 46th Engineer Battalion. Clifton served as the company cook and assistant to the Chaplain.
On April 20, 1952 he married Evelyn Harmon in Goldwaite, Texas. They had three daughters, Querita, Diane and Tammy.
He was preceded in death by his parents, sister, Lula Belle and brothers, Clinton Walter & Kenneth Lee. He is survived by his sister, Audrey Treplow of Wisconsin; brother, Robert Fry of Wisconsin; ex-wife, Evelyn Fry of Sapulpa; three daughters, Querita Jensen of Washington state, Diane Gagle of Sapulpa, Oklahoma and Tammy Dick of Claremore, Oklahoma; seven granddaughters, one grandson, and one great grandson.
A memorial service for immediate family will be held Friday, December 10, 2010 at Green Hill Funeral Home Chapel in Sapulpa, Oklahoma. Burial will follow at Green Hill memorial Gardens. Pastor Ray Crawford will officiate.
Memorial Contributions can be made to Alzheimer's Association of the Gideons.
