After Wilbur died, Kate entered the Real Estate Business in St. Louis and enjoyed a prosperous 20 years in this field. She also cared for her mother and sister Laura before each died in St. Louis. Of the various Lee children she propably had the most contact with the Southern members of the Lee family. Kate attended Randolph Macon College.
