Marietta — Ralph Eugene Boswell, 74, of Marietta, Oklahoma, passed away Sunday, December 5, 2010, at the Marietta Hospital. Ralph was born on January 24, 1936, in Hutchinson, Kansas, to the late Clifford Leland Boswell and Mabel Pauline McConnell Boswell.
He was raised in Hutchinson where he married Bonnie June Allen on August 17, 1957. She preceded him in death on November 19, 2006. They moved to Ardmore where Ralph worked for the Dickson Public School as a bus driver. In 1993, they moved to Enos where he lived for several years before moving to Enville where he lived the past two years. In 2001, Ralph became a member of the Lakeview Baptist Church where he served as a Deacon and he enjoyed fishing, hunting and driving.
He is survived by his children, David Boswell, Ardmore, Oklahoma, Dennis Boswell and wife, Darla, Ardmore, Oklahoma, Debra Rightmire and husband, James, Friendswood, Texas, Diana Clark and husband, Joe, Ardmore, Oklahoma, Denise Watson and husband, Steve, Ardmore, Oklahoma, Daniel Boswell and wife, Sharon, Kingston, Oklahoma and Duane Boswell and wife, Jeanette, Del City, Oklahoma; 21 grandchildren; 36 great-grandchildren; brother, Bill Meine, Arkansas; and sister, Kathy Allen and husband, Jerry, Hutchinson, Oklahoma.
Visitation will be Thursday, December 9, 2010, from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. at Watts Funeral Home in Madill. Family hour will be from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m.
Funeral services will be Friday, December 10, 2010, at 10 a.m. at the Eastside Baptist Church, Marietta, Oklahoma. Rev. Ronnie Harris will officiate the services. Special music by Crystal Boswell. Interment will be at the Lark Cemetery, Enos, Oklahoma.
Casket bearers: Clifford Boswell, Jason Boswell, Lucky Boswell, Chris Boswell, Jeremy Boswell, Joshua Boswell, Brandon Rightmire, Johnathon Boswell, Matthew Reinke, John Wayne Owens and Duane Boswell.
