Billy Reynolds (1945-2010)

`Funeral services for Billy Gene Reynolds, 65, of Bonham, will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday. December 8, 2010 in Wise Funeral Home Chapel, Bonham, Texas. Bro. Cody Nelson, Gary Hicks, and V.A. Bracket will officiate. Burial will follow in the Hickory Hill Cemetery in Mount Pleasant at 3 p.m. Graveside with Tommy Horn officiating. Billy went to be with his Lord and Savior on Dec. 5, 2010 at the Texoma Medical Center in Denison after a long and courageous battle with lung cancer.
Billy was born on July 13, 1945 in Greenville, Texas and served in the United States Army in the late 60s. He loved God and his family and friends and he had a great love for his Country. He was a member of the Boyd Baptist Church and enjoyed the outdoors.
Billy has been a Bonham businessman since January 1978, when he came to Bonham to manage Foxworth Lumber Yard where he worked until 1997. He then managed Goins Lumber Company in Bells for a number of years, then went back to Foxworth for several more years, working with them for a total of 30 years. He was manager for County Building Center Lumber Co. in Bonham until the time of his death. He coached many teams of Baseball and Soccer and never met a child he didn't like. He was selected to Who's Who for Amerian Businessmen.
He is survived by his wife of 46 years, Rebecca White Reynolds of Bonham, son and daughter-in-law, Billy Brandon Reynolds and Mandy of Bonham; The light of his life, grandchildren, Micah Kade and Lanie Jade; sisters-in-law, Brenda Reynolds of Mt. Pleasant and Mary Harvill of Mississippi.
Loved by a host of nieces and nephews and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Ollis Reynolds and Lillian Dawson Reynolds, his only sibling Bobby Reynolds, his in-laws Lawrence and Bessie Roach White, Odis and Margaret Smith and E.W. and Marie Pilgrim and J.C. Harvill.
Pallbearers will be Rodney Downs, Johnny Flowers, Joey Whitworth, Johnny Ray Stephens, Robert Easley, Tony Stephens, Orland Stephens and Charlie Stephens.
Honorary Pallbearers will be all of his close associates and contractors that have done business with him through the years.
