Adeline Kemp Hammond has a CSA widow's pension in the GA Archives Virtual Vault. She states DOD as April 1837 in Forsyth County, GA and shows proof of marriage to William O. Hammond on 10/6/1859 in Forsyth County, GA. She says he enlisted in March of 1862 and served with Company B of the 43 regt. He was wounded in the leg at the battle of Vickesburg and was on furlough when the war ended. She says he died in Aug. 1904 in Hall County.
