Son of Stephen b. 1813 and Margaret b. 1808 Wallen. Aaron married Martha A. Blankenbeckler, daughter of James Madison and Priscilla Lampee Blankenbeckler, on July 23, 1867 in Hawkins Co., Tennessee. Children: Stephen J., Amanda, Joseph H., Mary P., Valera A., and Sarah. Civil War Veteran, Company L, 8th Tennesee Cavalry. The tiny cemetery was in Hawkins Co., Tennessee just below Kyles Ford off Hwy 70 if I remember right. I believe it's on Gravely Valley Road, just before a sharp bend on 70 (on the left heading north). They were in a little meadow across from an old farm house. These gravestone photos were taken in 1998. I don't know if there are any descendants of Aaron and Martha because in the 1910 census Martha lists 6 children with 0 living.

May 17, 2010 - Update from Hallie Price Garner:
"Hi Lisa, since you wrote you weren't sure about descendants. Their daughter Sarah did marry (the only one, but even she died young) and she married Rev. Lorenzo Dow Lawson. I think she is in the same cemetery, but I haven't looked to see if you got her or not. She had three children George, Voluria and Gertrude. Voluria had several children and I think she is buried in the same cem with her grandparents."
Thank you Hallie!

Dec 6, 2010 - It has come to my attention that the proper name of this cemetery is Joe Lawson Cemetery.
