Dennis Walter Hodges, 75, of the 1800 block of Lightwood Lane, a retired yard conductor, died June 1, 1993, in a Norfolk hospital.
Mr. Hodges was born in Bassett, Va. He was retired from Norfolk & Western Railroad after 43 years of service. He was a member of United Transportation Union and was a Marine Corps veteran of World War II.
Survivors include his wife, Mary B. Hodges; three daughters, Jennifer L. Fortner of Norfolk, Rosemary O'Hora of Brookville, Md., and Joanne Chapman of Portland, Ore.; three granddaughters; one grandson; and three great-grandchildren.
A graveside service will be at 2 p.m. Thursday in Woodlawn Memorial Gardens. The family will be at the residence. Smith & Williams Funeral Home, Norfolk Chapel, is handling arrangements.
