Brooklet - Helen Sheppard Cribbs, 81, died Saturday at St. Joseph Hospital in Savannah after a long illness. The Bulloch County native was a retired postal clerk at the Brooklet Post Office and a member of the Brooklet United Methodist Church, where she was in the United Methodist Women.
Survivors include two sons, Sidney Sheppard, Brooklet, and William M. Sheppard, Statesboro; a sister, Hilda Floyd, Brooklet; a brother, Erie Smith, Savannah; six grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
The funeral will be held Monday at 3 p.m. at the Brooklet United Methodist Church with the Rev. Dwight Bishop officiating. Burial will be in Brooklet City Cemetery.
