Charles William Kehres, 76, died yesterday in his Kutztown R.D. 2 home. Born in Dauphin County, he was a son of the late Charles F. and Sarah A. (Yerkes) Kehres. A retired carpenter, he was a member of the Lutheran denomination and Artisans Lodge, Germanton. Surviving are his widow, Maude M. (Snyder) Kehres; three sons: Charles W. Kehres Jr. and Elvin F., both of Philadelphia, and Robert M., Slatington R.D. 2, and then grandchildren and one great-grandchild. Five brothers: Raymond, Shamokin; Roy, Joliette; Harry, Pottstown; Clyde, Lavelle, and John, Flemington, N.J. and three sisters, Charlotte, wife of Charles Neiswender, Carlisle; Maggie, wife of Richard Snyder, Lavelle, and Iva, widow of John Shite, Shamokin. Services will be held on Wednesday at 2 p.m. in the Evangelical Church, Franklin Square. Burial will be made in the adjoining cemetery. The Fritz and Kendall Funeral Home, Kutztown, is in charge.
