Lela Marie Burgess, 91, of London, entered into rest Thursday, February 6, 2014 in Russellville.
The daughter of Herman and Anna (Uellner) Priebe, she was born May 4, 1922 in Augsburg.
She worked for the International Shoe Company, Boeing Corporation, and was a sales associate for K-Mart for 10 years before she retired. She was a member of the Zion Lutheran Church at Augsburg, the Lutheran Women Missionary League and the Red Hat Society. She enjoyed fishing, crochet, vegetable and flower gardening and spending time with her family.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Doy R. Burgess; grandson, Andrew Aldridge; her parents; three brothers; and four sisters.
Survivors include two daughters, Gloria Burgess of Van Buren and Sandra King and husband, David of Grand Blanc, MI; four grandchildren, Michael Frederick and wife, Sharon of Grand Prarie, TX, Cynthia Frederick of Chattanooga, TN, Leslie Mamola and husband, Keith of Flint, MI, and Aaron King and wife, Lindsey of Beverly Hills, MI; 11 great grandchildren, one great-great grandchild; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and extended family.
Funeral Service will be held at 3:00 PM, Saturday, February 15, 2014 at the Augsburg Zion Lutheran Church. Pastor Thom Lakso will officiate. Burial will be at the Zion Lutheran Cemetery in Augsburg by Humphrey Funeral Service. isitation will be from 6-8 PM, on Friday, February 14, 2014 at the funeral home.
Pallbearers are Larry Priebe, Keith Whitney, Brandon Whitney, Steven Anders, Donnie Minster, and Kevin Lemar.
