William Riley McKinney
William Riley McKinney, 76 of 1302 Eastern Avenue, Davenport, died in Mercy/St John Hospital at 2:30 yesterday morning after a long illness.
Mr. McKinney was born in Savanna (Havana), Illinois on Oct 8 1859, and was educated in schools there. For a number of years he resided in Abingdon and at Galesburg. He moved to Davenport in 1913.
On June 21, 1886, he married Miss Rachel A. Bowser at Galesburg.
Surviving are the widow; two sons, John of Quincy and Walter McKinney of Galesburg; three daughters, Mrs. Betty Hewitt of Los Angeles, California, Mrs. William (Catherine) Hiatt of Davenport and Miss Ollie McKinney of Galesburg; thirteen grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
The body was removed to Everson and Anderson Mortuary where services will be held at 2:30 tomorrow afternoon. Burial will be in Pine Hill Cemetery.
