"1870 Henry Morlan had 140 acres in which Little Bull Creek ran through property, located in Section 12 of Columbiana Co."

"On this family place in Elk Run, Columbiana Co., Ohio, Henry Morlan, son of Joseph, remained until his death Jan 11, 1892. He was the oldest resident in the county. Henry lived on the SW portion of his father's land. In later years Jason Jr., who had lived on this portion of the land, was gone to Washington County, Ohio."(1)

"After the death of his wife, Abigail, Henry, with a houseful of children called upon a second cousin, Mary Morlan, to come in and take care of things. Mary expalins in a letter, many years later, "that she was to stay as long as there was flour in the bin", and she would tell later that she made sure the flour bin was always full. Mary married Henry, and produced 12 more children with him."(1)
