Joseph Scott Amis, 65, Dallas druggist for the last 20 years and brother-in-law of former Gov. William P. Hobby, died Friday at a local hospital. Services will be Saturday. Burial in Oakland Cemetery.
He was born at Hogansville, Georgia on the plantation of his grandfather, William Hogan, founder in 1828 of the town bearing his name.
Survived by his wife, Mrs. Mary Hobby Amis; daughter; two sons; three brothers; and three sisters.
