Further news of Widnes men, that were captured at Cambrai are to hand this week.
The good news that all events some of them are actually prisoners in the hands of the Germans, has been received in the form of postcards from the men themselves.
One such reached Mr. and Mrs. Lightfoot, of 5 Moss Street, on Monday morning, from their son, Lance-Corporal J. Lightfoot, together with a notification from the War Office.
The card reads: "I am a prisoner of war, stationed at Munster, West Camp. My health is good. My address is: Lance-Corp. Lightfoot. 40076, 1/5 South Lancashires, Gefangenenlager, Munster 1 W., Reinbahm (correct spelling is Rennbahn)." The War Office document reads: "The notification conveyed by the enclosed card, which has been brought to the attention of the Secretary of War by the postal censor have been noted. The officer of the records will be informed
