Charlene Gorman, 93, went home to her loving Heavenly Father the morning of Monday, August 6, 2018 in Arlington, TX.

Frankie Lois Charlene Gorman was born March 24, 1925 in Huntsville, TX to Frank Pegoda and Lula Mae Burnett Pegoda. She was the 11th of 12 children and grew up on the family farm in Huntsville. During World War II, while working in Corpus Christi, Charlene met her future husband, Edward Joseph Gorman. Their 52 year marriage began on April 5, 1943 in Fort Worth, TX. In 1955 the family moved to Arlington where she retired in 1990 from the Arlington Independent School District as a cafeteria manager. She was very proud of having mentored many while serving in that capacity. She had a love of her garden filled with flowers, of dancing, and was an active advocate for the seniors of Arlington, serving several years on the Board of Directors for the Senior Center.

She was very dedicated and loving to her family and was a faithful, compassionate, and caring friend.

Charlene was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Edward; her loving daughter, Catherine Holmes and her husband, Jerry; her son-in-law, Richard Huebner; four brothers and their wives; six sisters and their husbands. She is survived by her son, Kevin Gorman of Burleson and his wife, Becky; her daughter, Victoria Huebner of Arlington. She is also survived by her sister, Earie Cecile Cotton of Portland; 5 grandchildren; 6 great-grandchildren; many nieces, nephews, other family and a host of friends, all who will miss her dearly.
