Wednesday morning the remains of the late Rev. E. H. J. Andrews, who died very suddenly Sunday night of heart disease, were brought here on the early Santa Fe train from his late home in Plainview, by his widow, her brother Robert J. Calder of Galveston, and a friend of Mr. Andrews of Plainview. The body was taken to the Episcopal Church from which the funeral occurred at 10:30 o'clock. Interment was made in the Lamar section of Morton Cemetery, Rev. Clarence H. Lake, rector of Calvary Church, officiating.
The deceased was rector of St. Marks' Episcopal Church at Plainview. He was a native of England. He was married to Ms. Henrietta Calder, a former Richmond girl, and a granddaughter of President Mirabeau B. Lamar, in 1902. Besides his widow, Rev. Andrews leaves a father and sister in New Zealand and a brother in Canada to mourn his loss. Relatives attending the funeral were Mr. and Mrs. Robert Calder, Galveston; Miss Bessie Calder, League City; Mr. and Mrs. Ben Rice, Clear Lake; Mrs. Nell Mercer, Houston, and Mr. Anderson of Plainview.
