Robert Earl Howell, aged 37 years, a veteran of the world war, died Saturday evening at 11:30 o'clock at the home of his father, Robert J. Howell, of Elizabeth township, near Mount Vernon Presbyterian church. Death was due to ailments with which he had been suffering for some time. About two years ago, Mr. Howell went to Sawtelle, Cal., for the benefit of his health and he remained there until last month, when he returned here for the purpose of attending the funeral of his mother, Mrs. Nannie Stewart Whigham Howell, who died on January 21. He had resided in this section practically all his life and was well and favorably known. Besides his father, he is survived by his wife and the following brothers and sisters: James W. Howell, of St. Louis, Mo.; Glen W. Howell, of Boston, Pa.; Mrs. Helen W. Pflumm of Elizabeth township; Mrs. Marguerite Armstrong of Ohio and Mary J., Martha and John Howell, at home. The funeral Services will be held at his father's home tomorrow afternoon at 3 o'clock, in charge of the Rev. R. B. A. McBride, of the Mt. Vernon Presbyterian church and interment will be in Mt. Vernon cemetery.
