Born in Van Wert County, he worked at the former Continental Can Co. in Van Wert for 10 years and retired as a truck driver from Wenham Transportation after 28 years. He was a Korean War Marine Corps veteran. Surviving are his wife, Ilene M.; and three sons, Daniel L. of Fostoria, W. Devon of Salt Lake City and Kevin E. of Van Wert. Services at 2 p.m. Thursday at St. Thomas Lutheran Church, Van Wert County, with calling one hour before services. Calling from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Cowan & Son Funeral Home Van Wert, with military memorial services at 8 p.m. Burial in Woodlawn Cemetery, Ohio City, with military graveside services by combined VFW and American Legion posts.
